But you were given at some point an option to download? By whom? Chrome? I'm absolutely stunned that any sort of downloaded version could have ever possibly worked... It's just... I, er... wow.
Perhaps let's continue this by email. Drop me a line at support@youmescript.com

Re: Importing / Copy & Paste from Google Doc
Sadly I haven't found a very smart way to do this, there just isn't enough info in the export. The best I've managed is to print to a PDF, then copy and paste from that, relying on YouMeScript's smart formatting to work it out. You'll still need to go through it to find any possible problems, but it...

Re: Create a script for a documentary
Sorry for the delay on this. I've looked at doing a doc format, but full two-column layout would be tricky - the main data structure in YMS is a sequential list, so for instance dual-dialogue is handled by adding an attribute to the second 'character'. Might be doable, though. Wanna flesh out what y...

Fred, short answer is "yes, thank you, that would be fantastic", but I've also PM'd you a couple of thoughts.
Moving this to fixed. Sigh.

Re: File Updating Not Working
Folks, I'm looking into this, but I'm terrified that Google has deleted the pre-Google-pocalypse data. Their Realtime-API site now says that the 'export endpoint' shut down on September 30th. I had no notice of this, and no reason before hearing from users, to look back there. I'm writing to them no...

Re: Character name formatting
Rettit, many thanks. I haven't pinned this down, but right now I'm expecting something like this... 1. Several presets, including things like Final Draft, Warner Brothers, BBC feature + series, TV episodic(s) etc, but also customizable templates: 2. These apply to the whole script: - Page-size (A4 e...

Re: Copy/Paste or Import Doc/Pdf
Almost no pdf's can be pasted directly. You can highlight the PDF text, then copy and paste. Always check the script after as most pdf's break everything into lines not paragraphs and though YouMeScript does its best to decipher it, capitals can cause breaks where they're not wanted occasionally. - ...

Re: add-on not showing up after installation
Whoops, didn't see your reply, sorry. Simplest ways are keep hitting return in an empty paragraph to cycle through the paragraph types, or hit tab or shift-tab. Also Final Draft control+number keys work, plus the right-click method you found. For the cycle-through methods, the available choices are ...
