I exported to .txt, and imported immediately.
However, the parentheticals were all in the dialogue section.

Fred, I'll look at this after today's release. The version coming out later today has FOUNTAIN import and export, and that may be more reliable until I've checked the txt import.
If you get the chance, maybe you could take a look and see if the plain text has exported correctly?

If you get the chance, could you try and replicate this now? I see a couple of other problems, eg with title page and notes, but I can't replicate this problem with the current build.
