Keep getting page crashes upon opening

Post by mdil »

Hi,
I'm using this in a classroom. Several students have saved their scripts in Google drive. When they open them, it says LOADING, then the page crashes. However, other students can open their scripts with no problem. Do you have any ideas for how we can save their scripts? We've tried it from different accounts, different computers, and the problem seems to lie with the file instead of an individual connection or account. Thanks

Mdil, can you go to the 'Developer tools' in the browser menu, usually F12, but on Chromebooks, I think Ctrl+Shift+I, then pick the Console tab, and copy any error you see reported there?

(I realize this is probably something no-one would want to do, but the easiest way for me to track this down is if you shared it with me, at support@youmescript.com)

I'm going to move this to 'Bugs', too.

Mdil, I should have said, their work is almost certainly rescuable, and of course, I'm extremely sorry for any grief this caused them. YMS is still very new, and we're still working out all the kinks.

Mdil, I've just released some error reporting and recovery options I've been working on. Hopefully it gives them an option which helps, and I'll get a better idea what's going on either way.

Assuming this is the one we fixed last week, I'm moving this topic to fixed. Let me know if anything is still outstanding.
