I am trying to get some use out of a very old (10 years +) Chromebook which still somehow has excellent battery life even though it stopped getting updates years ago.
YMS loads fine, and is very usable, but every time i try to save to GDrive, I just get a popup saying it's uploading but it never actually saves. I appreciate using old hardware will throw up these incompatibilities, but is there anything that can be done to get the saving to work?
This is so close to my perfect productivity machine - long battery life, instant on, and too old to let me get distracted wasting time browsing the web, but still capable of running Google Docs and this very useful screenwriting tool... if only I was able to save! The only workaround I can see is exporting the file to FD and then manually adding it to GDrive, and then reimporting it again later, but that is quite tedious and defies the point of an instant on writing machine.
Anything that can be done?
EDIT: In the few moments since making this post, I notice that my Drive now contains a folder named YMS backuos that wasn't there before, and that I didn't create... but it's empty?
